We are connecting with experienced Power Engineers for a permanent leadership opportunity at a food manufacturing facility in Truro. The role leads six technicians and oversees the safe, reliable operation and maintenance of industrial ammonia refrigeration, steam generation and related utilities.
Responsibilities include coaching and scheduling the team, troubleshooting equipment issues, coordinating repairs, improving reliability and energy efficiency, supporting capital projects, and maintaining operating procedures, training and regulatory compliance.
Role Details
Schedule and package
- Annual base salary: $100,900–$126,100, depending on qualifications and experience
- Regular schedule: 7 a.m.–3 p.m., with flexibility for troubleshooting and team coaching
- On-call responsibilities, with support from the supervisory team
- Six technician direct reports
- Relocation assistance may be considered depending on circumstances
- Permanent, on-site role in Truro
Required Qualifications
Industrial refrigeration expertise and proven leadership.
Ammonia experience
At least five years operating and maintaining industrial ammonia refrigeration systems. Experience in food manufacturing, cold storage or other large-scale industrial refrigeration and utilities environments.
Team leadership
Proven experience coaching and developing teams, managing safe operations and supporting equipment reliability and regulatory compliance. Unionized-environment experience is an asset.
